Our Founder’s Story
Meet Donna Temm
Having experienced childhood sexual abuse, Donna deeply understands the impacts it has on every aspect of life and continues to be an advocate for others.
She now recognizes that those formative years up to her near death experience as a young teenager at the hands of the abuser allowed for two things…one, she gained a resilience that would carry her through the hard knocks life will present, and two, these experiences built a foundation that support her unwavering determination to make a positive impact in the world and an intention to shine a beacon of hope for others.
Her years of experience as a public school educator combined with two decades in her Donna Temm Alternative Solutions business have shared the common thread of assisting others with overcoming various forms of trauma. Read More

Brenda LaFrance
Bio
Brenda is an educator who has worked with children ages 5 through 11 for over 35 years. Her work has been in various communities in southern Maine.
In the last few decades, Brenda has been a classroom teacher, reading and math specialist, gifted and talented educator, school board member, and a principal.
In her role as a teacher, Brenda has witnessed children who have experienced significant trauma while also attempting to navigate life as a student. The trauma they face has great effects on them in the areas of academics, social connections, and daily life. It is only when this trauma is processed that children can begin to move forward.
It has been exceptionally rewarding for Brenda to believe in every student, to support each one’s goals and experiences, and to create a healthy learning environment.
Brenda is a mom of four young adult children. She lives in Alfred, Maine with her husband and two pups. She enjoys reading books, cooking, and being in nature.
